Refill VA Prescriptions with an App

VA continues its commitment to expand Veterans’ access to health care services with the launch of the new Rx Refill mobile application. Veterans can now use this new mobile app, in addition to My HealtheVet and, to refill their VA prescriptions online.

The web (HTML-based) version of the app is accessible from the VA App Store now, and a downloadable iOS version will soon be available from Apple’s App Store.

With Rx Refill, Veterans can use a mobile device to:

  • Request and monitor refills of their refillable VA-issued prescriptions.
  • Track VA prescription deliveries from VA Mail Order Pharmacies.
  • View VA prescription history.
  • Access additional medication information on My HealtheVet.

Eligibility Requirements

Veterans must meet the following requirements to use the Rx Refill App:

  1. Be enrolled in VA health care.
  2. Have a Premium DS Logon (Level 2) Account – The Rx Refill App can access the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR) and therefore, for security, requires a Premium DS Logon (Level 2) Account.
    • If Veterans do not have a Premium DS Logon (Level 2) Account, or they are not sure, visit for more information.
    • My HealtheVet users still need to register for a DS Logon Level 2 (Premium) Account to access the Rx Refill App.
  3. Have a Premium or Advanced My HealtheVet account – Because this app utilizes the Rx Refill technology within My HealtheVet, Veterans must have a My HealtheVet Premium or Advanced account. To learn more about My HealtheVet account types, visit
